Candidate

Runoff elections are held when no candidate wins the required majority of votes.
Two runoff elections in Georgia will ultimately decide who controls the senate for the next 2 years.

Republicans currently hold a slight majority with 50-48 senate seats. Democrats need to win the two seats in GA to even it to 50-50. The Vice President is then eligible to cast a deciding vote.
Democratic candidates are Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff.
