Hon. Pinre Ogunmefun wears many hats. He is poet, activist, writer, politician, teacher, nurse and businessman and was born of Christian parents into the noble but strict family background of the Ogunmefuns of Imupa quarters in Ijebu Ode Ogun State Nigeria.
He once represented Somolu as an elected legislator between 1999 and 2002 in the Pedro, Gbagada and Obanikoro constituencies in Lagos Nigeria and was member, Afenifere, Nadeco, M.K.O Solidarity Front to mention just a few.
His tenure oversaw and successfully influenced various community projects including Soji Oshodi Street tarring, Pedro /Ojelade bridge construction, Polio eradication and immunization, Education bursary award, Budget allocations and supervision as well as other community development projects. Hon. Ogunmefun influenced and initiated several bills passed into law, and successfully completed his tenure in 2002 but never sought re-election.
He was later appointed Secretary to Action congress and coordinated the election into the Senate and gubernatorial elections in Kosofe local government in 2008. He also became Secretary- Lagos state mobilization committee for the elections of Gov Raji Fashola in 2008 (Lagos East senatorial district) and coordinated the personal security of Governor Rauf Aregbesola in his election as Governor Osun State Nigeria.
Pinre, relocated to California in August, 2008 and took to nursing as a profession. He joined NAPAC in pursuit of his vision for the well-being and emancipation of Nigerians and his passion for community building and networking.
